General Information
Turnberry Cottage and Glenside Farm are situated near the Ayrshire coast, in land that was once part of the Culzean Castle Estate. We are around 25 minutes by car or taxi from Prestwick International Airport (served by RyanAir , and around 75 minutes from Glasgow and Glasgow International Airport.

Ayr, and Ayr racecourse are 20 minutes to the north, and Turnberry with its world famous golf resort is less than 10 minutes to the south.

With Culzean Castle on our doorstep and the delights of the Ayrshire countryside and 'Burns Country' to explore, we're ideally placed as a base to get a true flavour of the area.

From Glasgow and the North
Leaving Glasgow on the M77, travel south on the A77, past Kilmarnock, Prestwick Airport and Ayr to Maybole.

In Maybole turn right then left onto the B7023 following signs for Culzean.

After 1.7 miles (2.7 kilometres) the B7023 joins the A719 - continue straight on (south west).

Around 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) from Maybole, on the right is a turning into the Culzean Castle Estate. A further 150 metres past this on the left is the turn to Glenside.

Take this turn then, in a further 50 metres, take the left fork. Glenside Farm and Turnberry Cottage are in another 200 metres, with parking just beyond.


From England and the South
At Gretna, just after the M6 becomes the A74(M), turn west onto the A75.

Continue on the A75 for around 34 miles (55 kilometres), passing Dumfries at around two thirds of this distance, then turn right at Crocketford onto the A712.

After around 14 miles (23 kilometres) turn right (north) at the T-junction onto the A713 and follow for 22 miles (35 kilometres)

At the northern end of Dalmellington, turn left onto the B741, and carry on for 10.5 limes (17 kilometres) through Straiton and Cloyntie.

At the T-junction, turn right onto the B7023 towards Maybole and Culzean.

Maybole is in around 4 miles (6.4 kilometres). At the junction turn right then immediate left, then left again (south west), still on the B7023 towards Culzean.

After 1.7 miles (2.7 kilometres) the B7023 joins the A719 - continue straight on (south west).

Around 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) from Maybole, on the right is a turning into the Culzean Castle Estate. A further 150 metres past this on the left is the turn to Glenside.

Take this turn then, in a further 50 metres, take the left fork. Glenside Farm and Turnberry Cottage are in another 200 metres, with parking just beyond.


From Stranraer and the Irish Ferries
Head north on the A77, past Ballantrae, Lendalfoot and Girvan.

At Turnberry, turn left onto the A719 towards Culzean.

Through Maidens, around 4.4 miles (7 kilometres) along the A719, towards the northern end of the Culzean Estate, on the right is the turn to Glenside.

Take this turn then, in a further 50 metres, take the left fork. Glenside Farm and Turnberry Cottage are in another 200 metres, with parking just beyond.
