Glenside farmhouse has wonderful uninterrupted views over the Firth of Clyde to the Island of Arran and the Holy Isle and beyond to the Kintyre peninsula.

Glenside with its traditional courtyard has been in existence for over 200 years and sits amongst 7-8 acres of mixed garden, woodland and pasture. It was once part of the adjacent Culzean Castle estates and has not been a working farm for over 20 years.
 
This former farmhouse has a very comfortable but relaxed atmosphere about it, spacious and tastefully furnished and equipped throughout. Enabling you to settle in very quickly and start enjoying your holiday with family and friends.
 
Inside and out we have catered for your every need. Whether you choose to curl up by the fire or on a window seat reading a book from our large library of books or take advantage of the wide open space that surrounds Glenside.

Sitting in the garden enjoying the peace and quiet or playing croquet on the lawn, we have provided all that you require to make your stay at Glenside very comfortable.
 
Accommodation on the ground floor:

There are two main public rooms - a large welcoming sitting room, with an open log fire, three windows with views to the front over the gardens and to the rear into the courtyard, spacious with comfortable sofas, including a double sofa bed. We have a large library of books, CDs, DVDs and a piano for your entertainment.
 
An elegantly furnished dining hall, seating eight people comfortably. The smaller sitting room / TV room has large inviting sofas, an open log fire, two windows with views to the front over the garden, flat screen TV and a good selection of family games.

The large breakfasting kitchen is very bright with a large oak table which seats 8, well fitted and equipped for all culinary and laundry needs with additional pantry and cloakroom cupboards
 
The courtyard - a suntrap until late afternoon, can be accessed from the kitchen. A double bedroom with views to the front over the garden has an adjacent shower room with WC and washbasin. There is also a small cloakroom with WC in the hallway.
 
Glenside is very well equipped with an electric hob and separate double oven, microwave, fridge freezer (additional freezer space available) automatic washing machine, dryer, ironing equipment, hairdryer, dishwasher, full complement of crockery cutlery and glasses.

Also downstairs there are 2 TVs (one with DVD and Satellite TV), a stereo, and a WiFi Internet connection.
 
On the first floor:

There are two double bedrooms at the front of the house with superb elevated views over the gardens and beyond to the islands. They are spacious and comfortably furnished.

A family bathroom complete with bath, WC and washbasin. Upstairs also benefits from a separate shower room.
 
Outdoor Space:

The gardens, outdoor space and surrounding meadows at Glenside are very inviting and relaxing. Whether you wish to play games, ramble, read a book or just enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sun setting over Arran.

Outside there is a gas BBQ and garden table and chairs and strategically placed garden seats.
 
In the cartshed is an area provided for drying outdoor clothes if required. The house is heated by oil central heating and log fires. All electricity, central heating, and a large basket of logs, all duvet and bedding provided and are all included in the rental price.

Parking is available for up to three cars. Sorry but smoking is not permitted in the house.
